Elmwood Elementary School

If you are relocating to this area and are concerned about your kids attending a good school, well, congratulations! Your search is over! All four of my kids attended this school and I can tell you, that my kids have excelled in their academics because of the strong start they received at this school. The teaching staff is excellent. The Shawnee Local School District is a fine tuned, well oiled machine with a professional administration, excellent staff and support personnel, with wonderful parental involvement. You won't be disappointed. We have moved out of state now, and have yet to find another school with such high standards as this one.

This school seems ahead of the curve. We have been very please with our son's academic progress. Music, art, sports, science are all available. They welcome parent volunteers in the class. There seems to be a high level of parental involvement.

All 4 of my children have gone through Elmwood. I went to Elmwood when it was first built. I was in third grade. Anyway, I just wanted to say that Elmwood is a great school to send any child to. All of my children have received excellent foundations by going to this school. The academics are out of this world as are the teachers. I have not found a group of well trained, respectful, hard-working teachers as I have found here. The principal is wonderful. He is very involved with all of the students. I would call him a 'hands on' principal. He cares about each and every child in the school. He wants every child that advances to Maplewood to have the best foundation so s/he will be successful in our technologically advanced society. Parent involvement is awesome. There are 8-10 parents per teacher that help out in the school.
