The quality of academic programs is very high. Students who wish to excel at the academy should expect to have between 2-5 hours of homework every night. Choir is required, as well as Music Appreciation. Piano lessons are offered at the school. Art is optional and is not taught every year. Often the school will have an 'art camp' for its students, lasting about a week. Men can compete in basketball and soccer, and women can compete in volleyball. There are many other extracurricular activities, including the annual Christmas program and BCSA Fine Arts competition. Students compete in speech, music, academics, Bible, and art. Winners in high school categories advance to the National Level, the AACS competition, hosted at Bob Jones University. Parent involvement is extremely high. A strong priority is placed on the parents.
