I suppose a student who can easily focus on academics in a crowded classroom of up to 40 students, and who can stay on-task to complete homework quickly and thus have time to participate in extracurricular activities, can do well in Loveland schools. That was not my child, so after struggling through 5th and 6th grade, with very ineffectively and inconsistently-applied informal 'accomodations' (they are very reluctant to offer an official IEP or 504 that requires more reporting & greater accountability) we began homeschooling for middle school (where pressures on distractible, organizationally & time mgmt-challenged students only get worse) and now, 2 yrs later, are considering an online charter school for high school. I wish they'd close all the public schools so the $ could be used to fund a wide variety of competitive, independently-run educational options for parents to choose from & find what works best for each individual student!

I give this school the grade of an F.. and for the teachers and staff the grade of an F...Not happy at all with this school...Thinking more and more about having my child home schooled or moving out of the loveland school system...I wish that I had not moved into this school system....

My daughter has gone through Loveland Schools since 1st grade. Although she had a somewhat average experience at the elementary level, Loveland Intermediate has been a much more rewarding experience for her. The teachers are great and the staff is very involved and helpful. The team-teaching concept was a new one for us but my daughter has really excelled in this type of environment. LIS offers so many after school activities and programs. My daughter was able to participate in Student Council, Runner's Club, Science Club, etc. I just hope her middle school experience will be just as rewarding as LIS. Anyone moving into our district will really love this school.
