Valley is a decent school. There are several brilliant teachers that are employed at Valley including Ric Allwood and Terri Gregory. The new principal tries to work well with the students. I'll give her an A for effort, but she doesn't really come across as someone the students really can relate to. Her administrative style is more fit for younger kids. As high school students, freedom and responsibility are some things that comes with age, and she really kind of holds them back in that sense. I know that safety is an issue, but some of the policies are quite ridiculous. Sports are a big deal at Valley, the football team is the main focus, but overall its pretty well rounded with the extra-curriculars. There are several advanced courses offered and the teachers are extremely helpful when it comes to helping students get to college.
Valley is the best school district in all of Southern Ohio. My son has been in this school district for 3years now and it has been great. It is so good to see a school that not only has such high academic and athletic standards but moral standards as well
