This school... has few if any good qualities. Some ofthe few teachers that care enough to teach us anything are possibly leaving due to cuts and retirement, the Auburn tech teacher is being recalled in 2 years from now and as of 2012, there might not be any engineering programs left, which leaves only basic classes, sports, (which are too influencing), and clubs. One year and too many jocks later... i think this school is a waste of time. Do not attend this school if you don't like sports because no one will like you. i know this from experience.

This school lacks educational excellence. How many of its students go on to college? How many National Merit Scholars has this school turned out in the last 10 years. 1? The last time I visted this school there was a total lack of discipline in many classes; Avoid it.

I'm a Madison Alumni, and I have to agree with the comment that you will get out of an education what you put into it. I was in extracurricular activities as well as many clubs there, and there is always an opportunity to grow through these. I also completed some of my field experiences at Madison while attending college to become a teacher. The teachers really do care there, and they are very knowledgeable. Go Blue Streaks! A great choice for your kids!

Some of the past reviews are a little harsh. I'm a senior at MHS right now. Granted, there are a few bad teachers that don't care, but I believe that that's at every school. There are many excellent and challenging teachers. The past review also said 80% of teachers don't know how to use InfiniteCampus, which is not true. It's a very good tool that Madison has to offer to its students for students to keep on top of their grades, attendance records, fees, etc. Madison High has a very large variety in terms of classes to take, but you might be better off in Perry.

I'm currently a student at MHS. Some teachers are a complete joke, one of mine is a coach, and watches tapes on his cam-corder while we are doing worksheets to stay busy. Lots of 'drug' problems. Mainly smokers in the bathroom. Apparently the smoke detectors tax payers bought don't work as well as they should. Also, lots of money is wasted on unnecessary items. For instance, 'infinite campus,' a dumb internet grading system. All the responsibility of grades and what not now lies with parents and students. Besides the fact that about 80% of the teachers don't know how to use it...

I am A parent of 3 children in the Madison schools and I am very proud of the education they have received so far. We have lived here for 10years and the elelmantary school they attended and the middle school are great. The growth of madison has made it necessary to consider building new schools and the need to pass a new levy that hasn't been able to pass. Hopefully the community will rally together to do what is best for Madison and the children. A city is only as good as its school system. building new schools and having to raise

You've got to be kidding me - Great School in the same sentence as Madison. I am a former student. Overall, the education I received was sub par. Greater emphasis needs to be placed on education rather than sports. The leadership within this school district is unacceptable. Avoid this school at all costs. There are a few decent teachers, but overall, the Madison program is not competitive with surrounding communities.

I attended Madison schools and received a first class education and so are my children. My oldest child is in 'Who's Who', the 'National Honors Society' and has received numerous academic and athletic awards on the state level. She has just recently had one of her literary works published and is certainly looking forward to a sizable scholarship to the school of her choice. My other two children are in line for the same success. I've read a few bad reviews on this site and I have to say, some people just don't understand that you only get out of an education what you put into it. We love Madison and our schools. The academic programs are top notch and certainly worthy of my straight 'A' students!
