I am a former student of Madison Middle School and now a parent who has two children, one in elementary school & one in middle school. I am comparing this school to my children's. My parents had numerous problems with this school. They still complain about the poor quality of education, poor teachers, and unefficient, rude administrative staff. Maybe its because middle school students are hard students to tolerate? Whatever the reason, this school was a poor, unsatisificatory school to attend.

We are new to MMS and so far it has been a very good experience. I emailed the school with a question and the principal called me personally in less than an hour after I sent the message. I do think a more detailed school website would be very helpful to parents (policies, procedures, class requirements, activities offered, etc.).

This school is way over crouded they need to build another middle school in madison to accomidate the increased population. The kids are mean to each other and rude and the teachers dont seem to care.

Teachers want parent involvement, however, it is hard to get some teachers to respond to your concerns.

We have 2 children in madison middle(6th) the first year has been very positive. The principal runs that school with an iron hand. Yet she is understanding and allows no bull. The addministration and teachers have e-mail pages. You get daily and weekly info on studies. You have constant access to teachers. When there is a problem (we have had behavioral and medical) they are quick to respond and try always to keep the student best interests at heart. But, this system only works when the parents stay involved and on top of each and every situation. They provide many areas for parent involvement. The students have access to many extra area's and also extracurricular activities. For the most part the teachers have each students best interest at the forefront. The students are closely supervised at all activities. The school fees are very reasonable for area schools.
