I as a parent like the school very much. The teachers are very knowledgable in their subjects and, if the students want, can learn a great deal. The dress code is the fault of the parents not taking the time to train or look at what the kids go to school looking like. I will support this school as much as I can... Now that they have a superentendent with a brain.

This school is terrible. The teachers fight with the administration. There is little to know student centered activities, it is all about the adults. Scores on state test are consistently horrible. I will be moving my children from this mess!

It was my first day at MSHS (11/26/07) and I loved it! The kids there were very nice to me and they helped me find my way around. The teachers there are awesome! They are very thorough and up to date. They actually teach you not just hand you work. I love this school!

I do not care for this school, and I do plan on having my daughter transferred to another district before she attends high school. To me, this school places too much importance on the students' uniforms. I really do feel that if the dress code that the schools had before was enforced there wouldn't have been a need for the manditory uniforms. Uniforms and sports are the only things I ever hear about this school. Never academic progress.

Mansfield City School has a real administration problem, one hand doesn't seem to know what the other is doing. My grandson attends Simpson Middle School, and the principal at the school doesn't seem to have a clue about what is going on in the building. I have occasion to visit the school at least twice a week, and from my point of view it seem that there is a total lack of disipline, or at least a lack of consistancy in the disipline. According to my grandson the principal never goes to the upper floors, and rarely leaves her office. The teacher seem to do a good job, given the dicipline problems they are faced with.

The administration don't seem to have a plan of action for improvement even though the school system scores very poorly (academic emergency).

Dress code is a joke. Make sports too important. Reward grades, not athletic ability.
