Want to improve this school’s profile? You can!

All schools on GreatSchools begin with BASIC completeness, which includes important information like contact details and test scores. It’s up to the school community to take the next steps. As a parent or community member, you can share what you know with other families by writing a review or answering a few questions about what the school offers. As a school leader, you can upload photos, describe school programs, and more with an Official school profile.

The completeness meter moves to INTERMEDIATE, then ADVANCED, and finally HONOR ROLL as you complete the following: 10 or more reviews, at least 1 photo, and 9 program questions parents find helpful.

This school is part of the elitist community of Jackson Twp. If you have money, your child will fair very well. You will be catered and kowtowed. Teachers, activities and resources are the best there is to offer for the wealthy who expect the best out of the public schools they enroll their children in. I would love to see the same opportunities afforded to the much deserved underprivileged high achievers who work just as hard (if not more) than those who have opportunities handed to them in a nice purple & gold basket. Children from lower class/income fall through the cracks of the social cliques and have no chance at lead roles here. These are reserved for the children of the elite. It can certainly be noted that a privileged child who has mediocre academic prowess will be afforded help and resources to succeed because they are from a privileged background. Credit can be given to teachers who will at least do all to prevent a lower class student from embarrassing the district with subpar testing scores. But they will certainly not be singled out and built up by mere basic merit. Bottom line: Excellent school for the rich. If you know how to play the game, your child will succeed.

This school is located in an upscale neighborhood. This school gives your children opportunities that are not offered by many other schools (academic , art and sport). The schools, library and YMCA are within walking distance of one another. The students are very "clicky" and unfortunately, some of the teachers are, also. The weaker teachers will join in with the "popular" students to humiliate the other students. If your student is not self-confident, they may be bullied by students and staff alike. If your student has self confidence, then you probably won't find a better school. They do have several teachers that are amazing and they go above and beyond to help your children obtain the most out of their school years. The facilities are top notch. Everything is carefully thought out and well-organized. I think the good far outweighs the bad.

It is great but they should offer more sports to 6th graders but now because of the levy they probably won't keep any

We are new to the school system and my daughter is very happy with the school. I can't believe the individual attention that they give to these children. They certainly don't get lost in the system.

JMMS is the best school ever! I used to live in Medina and i never got any attenetion and i was always left out but at Jackson I get personal attention and all the help i need in school. I love the teachers here and jmms is just such a great school to be a part of. I made so many new friends and didn't feel left out, But i do think some of the teachers need to be less strict. THANK YOU JMMS!

Although JMMS is a large school, it is very well organized and administrated. It's teaching staff is wonderful, and the quality of overall education is fantastic. I am a teacher and have lived and worked in many areas of the country, and Jackson Local School are far superior to any I've had contact with.

My son attends Jackson Middle School. The building itself fairly large. The teacing here is great! If you dont belive me look at the profincy results. As for after shcool activites i think thats the schools fall. Most the things are about sports, crafts, and such. Witch is great but only some are intersested in that. You have to look at what evreyone wants and im sorry to say but they do a horrible job at that!

My son attends JMMS, and so did I.(years ago) I loved the school than and still do today. That is one of the reasons why I stayed in the community. My son will be going to the High School next year.

Both of our sons attended the Jackson schools and we couldn't be happier about the academic level of achievement they obtained while there. The extra curricular activities are of the finest quality and the leadership among principals and teachers, and coaches is the best you'll find anywhere!
