My children have attended both elementary schools for Tusky Valley. They are both very old and outdated. The primary school is far and out of the way(Mineral City) for most of the students which come from the Bolivar area. I have had to deal with two horrible teachers, one at each school. On a good note the middle school is wonderful and they are planning on building a new high school. You wont find a better superintendent than Mark Murphy.

My children currently attend (daughter) 5th and (son) 7th grade within Tusky Valley School system. Their experience as has been very good. Classes are small and more personal in comparison to other surrounding school districts, especially at the elementary levels. It is not perfect but when I talk to parents from Canton and surrounding areas it is above average. My children scored very well with goverment testing. I feel that two major factors contibute to the overall educational experience of our children and children abroad. First is commitment from the parents and then there needs to be a commitment from the school in regards to the childs education (classroom sizes would be an example of this). When either one is missing then one can expect a poor result. If you are committed to you child's education you will be satisfied with Tusky Valley Schools.
