My children went to this school for a few years, but after entering a new school they have learned twice as fast as they were at hills. Also problems are not handeled in a timely manner. Children bully other children and not much is done when they are in the younger grades.

I was not very pleased with the school. I pulled my children out and started Home Schooling them. They are now doing wonderfull, it was the best decision I ever made for them. They did not recieve the help they needed when it was needed. There are a couple of good teachers there though.

My child had a wonderful year in Miss Tost's fourth grade. The students created a business, sold their product and then donated the money. She truely had a wonderful year! Thanks Miss Tost.

I was very pleased with Hills Elementary School, especially my son's 4th grade teacher Miss Janet Tost! She made each day exciting and new for him and he couldn't wait to go to school, for once. The principal, Mr. Ron Sismondo, was very helpful in making my son's educational experience a very positive one. Unfortunately, we had to relocate, but I'm sure my son's experiences at Hills will be with him--always!

I love this school my daugther went there the work wasnt too easy or hard. I hope this school helps people like it did my daugther have a good day bye

In 2010-2011, the Ohio Department of Education used the Value-Added Measure to show how much growth students made on the Ohio Achievement Test since the last school year. The state expects that student test scores will show an average year's worth of growth compared to test scores from the previous year. Ohio's Value-Added Measure is not the same as Adequate Yearly Progress (AYP), a federal measure which uses different criteria.

About the tests


Ohio uses the Performance Index to provide an overall indication of how well students perform on its standardized tests each year. The Performance Index scores are based upon how well each student does on all tested subjects in grades 3 through 8 and 10. Schools and districts earn anywhere from 1.2 points for each student scoring at the advanced level to zero points for each untested student. The Performance Index ranges between 0 and 120, with 100 as the statewide goal for all students.
