The Mt. Orab Elementary offers a reading-readiness program for kindergarten students called EARLY I.D. that screens students in need of additional VISUAL PERCEPTION and FINE MOTOR skills. An individualized lesson plan caters to the needs of each qualifying child. Volunteers help trained staff run the daily program. Between the EARLY I.D. program and other ways to bring volunteers into the elementary (K-4), MOE was fortunate enough to have over 7600 volunteer hours in the 2007-08 school year, being featured on Channel 19's 'Cool Schools'! Volunteers not only help daily with EID, but help in the lunchroom, recess duties, running copies, bulletin boards, reading with children, etc. Few schools are so fortunate to have as MANY volunteers willing to give SO MUCH OF THEMSELVES! Our school is truly blessed.

My son just started this year and has already been performing much higher than my expectations. His teacher is Mrs. Moore and I highly recommend her to anyone. My son did not go to Preschool and was a little behind I thought. It turned out he wasnt except for the social aspects of schooling. In less than three months he has mastered the alphabet both lower and upper case reading and writing them. He can count pass 100 and they have a lot of etra activities for the kids. The volunteer program is amazing. So many people willing to give up there time! The only thing that I can see doing differently is less kids per class. Right now my son has 24 students. I think most schools are in that situation though, the need and want of more teachers.

there is nothing like MOE. We moved here a two years ago, and have grown to love this school!! They are the most caring and dedicated teachers and staff we have ever met.

The teachers take time to work with each individual student. The looping program is brilliant and produces very intelligent children. My children are above and beyond as far as testing is concerned and I am very happy with their progress.

I enjoy Mt. Orab's teachers. They take the time with each child and the parents. A very peaceful atmosphere for each person walking into the class room.
