I have been in the New Albany School district since 4th grade and i am now in 8th grade. i love everything about them. they have smartboards in every math class, which gives us hands on learning. In science class, there are many other hands on learning. there are many clubs and extra curicclular activities in the school. i was in power of the pen and we made it to state.
New Albany schools are amazing. In many schools, one teacher can be picked out as the best, but in New Albany schools, all the teachers are amazing. Many kids in New Albany come from different backgrounds, so from kindergarten on up, we learn how to all be equal and that it is okay to be different. Also, somehow teachers manage to perfectly juggle the needs of all the students. The children who are behind, are individually worked with and in the end, everyone excels. Words cannot fathom how great New Albany is and bullying is minimal.
I went to this school since kindergarten and now going into eighth grade. It is such a amazing experice and they teach you wonderful things other schools dont teach to you. Although a lot of students are mostly preppy and snobby, but for some, once you get past the glares and through their Abercrombie clothes, some can auctully be nice. I do wear brands and desighners but what bothers me about this school is how everyone has explain where they got their clothes from and how rich they are. A girl who was exactly like that would have to be Anju.. other than that, the school is great!
I have gone to New Albany since Kinsergarden and I am now in 8th grade. New Albany is a great school. Yes it is harder then other schools, but the staff here makes it a lot easier. I have heard how when people graduate from New Albany and go onto college, they are always being asked for help on work from other college students because they never got taught various things at their schools but the kids from New Albany did. I really like my school, there are some politics though. People are influenced by clothing; they have to have name brand things and are slightly spoiled, but that is only a small percentage of students. If you are thinking of attending New Albany, I absolutley would. The staff is great, students are nice, and you will get so much more taught to you. New Albany is a great school.
I have children in both the elementary school and the middle school. Wonderful school with a true desire to be excellent. They have helped my children develop a true love of learning.
The middle school is awesome! Aside from the lack of foreign language education, I can't speak highly enough about the principal, teachers, and staff. Two of my three kids have attended the middle school and both have had a tremendously successful experience.
Though I am very happy at the new selection of the principal I strongly feel that NA is lacking in foriegn language. It should minimally start in 6th grade and the fact that it starts in 8th and only for a select few bothers me tremendously.
This school is incredible. Really. My son went to a different school for 6th and 7th grade in a different district. He barely passed 6th grade, and essentially failed 7th grade. We knew it couldn't be solely the fault of our son for his failures, considering his class sizes at the 'other' school were in excess of 40 students with insufficient seating and academic material. My son move to New Albany, and I cannot tell you what an incredible educational experience he is having. He actually looks forward to school, and his teachers are raving about him (never heard that before!). He's on the Principal's Merit list and maintains a GPA in excess of 3.75. He had to repeat 7th grade due to his lack of progress of in the 'other' school, and his 7th grade was stellar. We had hoped it wasn't because he was simply repeating the 7th grade. We were correct to hope that, as now in 8th grade, he continues to excell when we were told to keep our fingers crossed. I cannot say enough about New Albany Middle school. We are so happy for our son, his progress and success. What a wonderful caring staff there is at New Albany. With ferrets in the science classroom too! My son has never been happier, and neither have we. To see your child succeed when others tell you he or she is a failure, is nothing short of bliss for a parent. Thank you New Albany Middle School, for giving my son a new life. We are looking forward to him attending New Albany High School next year. We are so proud of your school, and what you have allowed our son to develop into.
