I think the school does an excellent job for the lack of support it gets from the community and tax payers. Your child is not just a 'number' like the norm at the big school districts in the area.
JMES is not a bad school for the average child. The teachers are mostly caring and knowlegable. However in the push for good test scores to conform with NCLB, the advanced children are being not just left behind, but lost entirely. My bright children have been bored with the repetitive test prep and chastised for wanting to discuss subjects 'not in the standards for their grade.'
I believe JMES is a great school. The academic programs are very good. the art, sports,& music departments are also very nice. There is alot of technology there. The teachers, Principal, & other staff are very caring people the children are well adjusted and get along well. I am very happy my child attends school here!
