From 2006-2011 both of my children attended Maple Intermediate & i truly wish i had more positive things to say,but the facts are the school lacks on every level you could imagine. The libarary is the only air conditioned room in the entire school building which only provides large industrial fans. The classrooms are extremely over crowded. and honestly the staff is a much bigger disappointment than the conditions of the building..Finding a teacher who actually cares enough about my child to help has not once happened. Both of my children were bullyed and my daughter's bullying situation only continued to escalate as the years went on. This included having to ask the schools police officer for help to end it, and that had to happen repeatedly. This also included trips to the police station during the summer since the principal and teachers didnt want to handle the situation as it was "too late in the year" we've been forced now to hire a tutor to make sure she passes this school year and to bring her up to the same level all the other children are academically.. If at all possible, do everything you can to keep you children OUT of this school district.
Maple is one of the best schools because they it is made up of the most caring, dedicated, hard working staff members around.
