I love this school and the teachers. There are so many creative art programs for the kids and each kid is an individual here! The principal has a smile on her face and greets each kid by name. I used to be terrified of my principal. Ms. Onacila does a great job balancing education in a creative way, discipline and instilling catholic values in a wholesome environment. I am truly happy I have found a place like St. Brendan School.
St. Brendan School can give your child a wonderful education. It requires parental involvement and hard work. They expect a student to try their best. They have quality teachers, especially at the Jr. High level. They could focus more on encouraging students. Overall, we love the school, parish and lovely people.
St. Brendan School is Preschool through grade 8 and we have had a wonderful experience at this preschool our daughter is doing well beyond what we ever thought possible with the preschool teachers enthusiasm for her job.
St. Brendan is an excellent school, seeking to develop a positive and strong leader within all of its students; both spiritually and academically. There are many opportunities for all students, and the environment is very friendly and genuine.
We have had an excellent experience at St. Brendan's with our daughter who has been there since preschool. The teachers are very responsive and open to communication. The use of Edline is a fabulous tool to keep you in contact with the teachers, staff and day to day work that your child is responsible for. The changing over of the pastor which we were a little nervous about at first has proven to be a smooth transition, Fr. Tom has been fabulous. The programs in both Science and Computers offer the students the opportunity to strecth their creativity and ingenuity.
This school is more worried about enrolling new students to avoid a merger with St Richard than the students they have currently enrolled. The math program, while at or above the state average, leaves a lot to be desired. When you're paying tuition where the public schools are good, you expect better. Our biggest complaint is that there is NO discipline in the classrooms. The teachers and principal are more interested in keeping the parents from complaining than actually enforcing their own rules. We left after 6 years and took our money to another school (it wasn't St Richards).
