Liberty Elementary School

Liberty is an excellent school. The principal, Mrs. Lapp, has a real heart for kids plus a good head for education. Under her direction the school has improved, test scores are up, and Liberty teachers are working with kids in small group co-teaching classrooms. We are very impressed and pleased to have our kids at Liberty.

Test scores usually reveal a lot about achievements and abilities of students in this school. As a former student and parent, it is obvious that this school has done an excellent job of making student achievement a top priority. Percentages don't lie, and this school has done its job at giving children a high quality of learning as well as a safe environment to learn in.

Most of the teachers are good here, they have art and music programs. Parent involvement could be better. It just seems like they have too many fundraisers here. And we need to find and keep a principal. We are on our third one in four years.

Liberty is an exceptional school in an often mediocre state (for education). The teachers love kids and work well with the children and each other. The school has a physical lay-out that is well designed and the PTA is active and involved. The art and music departments are good and the kids love their participation in them. Liberty has a good special ed staff. Of the elementary programs available in N Ridgeville...Liberty is the best.
