This school no longer exists and has not since 2006. I know because I taught there and my three children graduated from there.

The school changed it's name about three year ago to Norwood Christian Academy, as of the 2004-05 school year they have expanded to include grades K-12. They have a low student teacher ratio with the average class size being 10-13. They teach a christian based curriculum ( bob jones & a beka books). The teachers are dedicated and have a true interest in the higher education and well being of the students. Tuition is affordable, they meet all state requirements, SAT & Profiency testing, and Ohio Graduate Testing. Overall it is a good school with caring christian teachers and staff.

The small atmosphere was good as far as child-teacher relationship, but the teachers were not up to date teaching children of different abilities, ie: had no idea what an IEP was. Also, with classes so small, children tended to get a little bit too attached to each other and began to lack normal social skills. It was good that teachers kept tight tabs of childrens grades and assignments, and they received slightly more attention if they needed extra help. Equal to that of available public school tutors. The mix of school/religion good, but did not deter good/bad behavior whatsoever.

We currently do not have any test score information for this school. Unlike public schools, private schools are not always required to report data about their schools or not required to take the same tests as public schools. Many private schools take different standardized tests; however, that information is often made available only to families of enrolled students. We strive to acquire additional private school data whenever available.

Oops! We currently do not have any student information for this school. We rely on the state Department of Education, the National Center for Education Statistics (NCES), and in some cases school administrators such as registrars and principals for this data.
