Harvey High School has a dedicated staff of teachers and administrators. They have helped all four of my children achieve success while there and in their college. They offer students the opportunity for many extracurricular opportunities in a wide variety areas.

I was a exchange student and i had the honor to be an Harvey Hih Scool, maybe my English gramar it is not so good, but i can say tha the teachers are a great people, they tell you how to be a good man or woman for the life, for the real life. I learned a lot of thing and how to think like a good person to work for the world and its people. I am so thanksfull for all the people at Harvey High School. I want to thank to my host families, The Franceschini and de De Lamote. I think that they were my inspiration for my future, now i am a cardiologist, and all the time i remember my time in Harvey. Alfonso Zambrano. Ecuador. Thanks Mrs. Donley.

My son is a senior for the 2008-2009 school year at Harvey High School. We moved here from out of state a couple of years ago and he had to repeat his freshman year. However, thanks to the caring teachers and his hard work he has made up enough credits to be able to graduate on time this year. At first I was worried about sending him to Harvey becuse I had heard lots of things and being new in town you don't know what to believe. I am so glad I did send him to Harvey he has been able to catch up and has been treated with respect. Let me say THANK YOU to the teaching staff at Harvey High School.

Harvey High School's music and drama departments are the best in Lake County. They have earned many honors and awards with the most prestigious being the Rotary Award for Best High School Musical two consecutive years.

As a parent of a number of Harvey graduates, I will tell you that it is possible for children to succeed in an economically disadvantaged area. There are several advanced classes available and I would encourage any parent to have their child enrolled in them to be prepared for college. The biggest problem is having your child mainstreamed into regular classes - with those the emphases are on passing not succeeding on the next level. Most of the teaching staff does take an avid interest in their students and there is a degree of parental involvement but like most schools in an urban setting - it is always the same parents, like their students who choose to be involved. Based on the current leadership, I am extremely glad that my children have completed their education and are no longer there.

My freshman year I attended Harvey High School and it is a great school! The teachers are so nice and from experience it Harvey has a very good extracurricular activities especially Drama Club is very fun and of course sports. Harvey High is a good school and you should never judge a book by its cover and never believe what others say because in my opinion it is a good school.

I am a student at Harvey and I think that it is a very good school to go to. Most people think that it is very bad and unsafe and that is a bunch of lies. This school has a very good sports program and the support is outstanding. The teachers are nice and love to teach and that is great. The things people say about this school aren't true and I know first hand. The student, including myself, know that the teachers are willing to stay and help if needed and it's good to know. The administration isn't bad and doesn't crave power like some schools do and that is good. The only thing to improve is when to call a snow day because some days needed a snow day and we didn't get it. The extracurriculars are great as well. There are so many things to do at this school.
