I think this school is great. My children started mid year and they felt as welcomed as someone who has gone the whole time. the teachers are great and the pricipal is wonderful.
I think this school is great. They offer extra help when it is needed. Though my daughter has only been at State Road for 2 years I feel all of the teachers make an effort to make sure each student does well in each subject. I love that this school also has tutoring programs for the students.
I have a third grader and a first grader currently in this school. Things this year have gotten much better with the class sizes since the city passed its school levy. Average size about 22 students per teacher. The school system as a whole has cut or made all extra curriculars pay to play due to the school levies taking several years to pass. The current principal allows parent involvement, but does not encourage it. The PTA is wonderful and is where the true parent involvement steps from.
I have a child at State Road and I think that overall they are a great school. They have great teachers. Teachers are very caring and helpful with the kids.
