My son, who has ADHD will be a senior this year and has been at Summit-Parma since 5th grade. I can't imagine where he'd be right now if not for this school! Thank you!

My daughter attended SAP for 3yrs & it was great for her self esteem, but not her academics. I urge parents to remain informed & follow their children's education. Be sure that the material they are presented is grade level appropriate and that IEP's are being followed. I have experienced problems with academic content standards not being presented for the appropriate grade level. Do your research. This school is currently in academic emergency status! Our children with ADHD do need to be taught in more of a hands on manner, that is why I choose SAP. If our children are being taught in this manner, then why do the test scores not reflect that? The expectations for the children are too low & the children take advantage of that! All the children have so much more potential than what they are being given credit for by this school.

Best School for Children with ADD or ADHD, This school KNOWS & Understands how to teach these children. I was VERY pleased with this school.

My son struggled or years in Public School- barely passing and being made to feel life a 'bad student'. Now he feel much better about himself and we don't battle over grades. He is getting good progress reportsw and has very small classes and all the teachrers now and reaaly work with him He has a lot of friends at school- plays basketball after school. he misses scholl sports but plays with the recreation department. I think he is happy and learning and thant's what it is about. He usually tells us daily what he learned at school that day.

About the tests


Ohio uses the Performance Index to provide an overall indication of how well students perform on its standardized tests each year. The Performance Index scores are based upon how well each student does on all tested subjects in grades 3 through 8 and 10. Schools and districts earn anywhere from 1.2 points for each student scoring at the advanced level to zero points for each untested student. The Performance Index ranges between 0 and 120, with 100 as the statewide goal for all students.
