My children have been attending this school for 3 years now. My first impression was a great one but as the school years progress I have found that they are more interested in passing the OAA's and teach to the test. They do not like giving the help they need to children with IEP's. It is more of a burden. The educational standards seem to be sorely lacking.

My son attends Etna Elementary and I cannot say enough postive things about the school and it's staff. The teachers and principal all know him and his younger siblings by name. They all have taken measures to make sure he excels in his work. They do a great job looking out for the students and I think it's wonderful to have such a great school for my child to go to.

My child goes to Etna and I love the school district and the school system. I moved my family from the southwest side of columbus when it was time for my son to attend school to get a better education and I fel that he is in a great school with a teacher that really understands him. I would hope that all parents of SWL schools would want nothing but the best education for their children and would want the best schools for them. The levy is the least of my worries and I am upset that my community thinks so low of our childrens futures that they can't see that a levy is only bettering our community and our childrens education.

I cannot say enough good things about the Kindercenter. The children learn at a good pace and are well-equipped for first grade. Good teachers; good teaching methods ~ good social attitudes are reinforced. The levies poke our comfort-zones and make us considering moving. There is no quick-fix. Good education, good cars and homes all cost a little more. I've done daycare in SWL for 31 years ~ I know we have good schools ~ and simply-spectacular-teachers! -Linda Lane

I believe that this school wants to do the best for their children, but they are so worried about passing Levy's. I don't understand how a district can be so fat behind on a budget and spend money that is waste full. They don't offer many extra activities nor do they push the children. My first grader is doing the same things that she did in Kindergarten. There standards don't seem to high.
