I am a student in the 8th grade and I don't think that the perrysburg junior high is the best public middle school to go to. There are many 'cliques' which includes students, staff, and teachers! All I ever hear the teachers gossip about are about other people! They even gossip about kids in the classroom. A few keep their phones by them at ALL times, and even text during class. Or even take calls! I feel as though I get no respect as a student. I tend to get ill frequently throughout the seasons and at times need help catching up with school work. I am also deadly allergic to peanuts. I have missed 14 days of school so far. Some teachers give me 'looks' and ask me 'where have you been!'. Its so rude. I would rather go to a private school and wear uniforms. With GOOD teachers.
I am a parent of an eighth grader. My observation of this school is poor. Some teachers are great, while others give no respect to their students. it's all about keeping up with their to do list and getting it all done by the end of the year. When they should be helping the students that don't understand. They make no out reach to parents. The school is very clicki, and I'm talking about the students, parents & teachers! What a shame!
the school is great i love it (: the only thing is that this year we don't have a team study which really helps me get my homework done and gives me time to ask teachers questions about the work we did in class that day, and now we don't have that opportunity. also i'm not sure if they are doing this again this year but last year they divided us by boys and girls for the lunch period, which i did not like at all because most of my friends are guys and i'm a girl, so i hardly got to see them. i thought it was find how we did lunch in 6th grade. also the dress code is way too strict, nut other then those things, i love our school.
I love Perrysburg Jr. high school the only bad thing is the dress code is strict and the study halls are shorter then they were in other years.
the school rocks! and the drama club and choir are so well put together, it has really nice and fair teachers, and they alway's try to make sure we feel safe and try to make us feel really good
This school does not have uncontrollable students its not even cool that people would even think that and mr.Wilsey is a awsome guy and he is very welcoming this school is great yea that have some ruld kids but itz not even that bad i was very respectable
i think this school is great the students are nice and the teachers r very sweet you would be happy with this school
I love this school. There are great students. There all kind. It mabey tough but its teenagers. I feel safe in this school as a student.
My eldest is gifted and had no issues with this school. My main observation is that they make almost no outreach to parents who are not available during school hours--many days needed to register (by grade, not alphabet, so the more kids you have, the more time it takes), after school events are done at 3:30, etc. My youngest is ADHD and gifted and that has been a real challenge, particularly since this school stopped mailing midterm grades and printing newsletters. They expect all parents have the time and access to computers to look it all up themselves. There are space issues particularly for musicr and the building was originally a high school, so the locker placement, smallish cafeteria (fewer HS students are at school all day) and the HS athletic facilities are all at this school, so after school it can be wild!
As a parent of an 8th and a 7th grader I am very disappointed in the Jr. High. I was very satisfied with the elementary school but I feel the Jr. High had its hands full with troubled students. The lack of parental supervision in this town makes for alot of 'uncontrollable ' teenagers!
