The school is a safe place for kids. The people are nice and they do a great job of making sure all kids are covering the basics. If your child is already meeting the basics: which means you've done your job as a parent then they don't do anything. There are exceptions (those few teachers in every grade that go above and beyond) but its like winning the lottery to get them.
School is great. Mr. Nihiser is the only principal that I know that will hand select each class! He does a great job of matching students with teachers. We love Mr Nihiser! My daughter is in 2nd grade and loves the classes. The music and art teachers are great as well. Office staff isn't that friendly and since they are your first impression, Don't let them scare you away! The entire school district rocks! PTO meets during the daytime. So us working mums don't get to participate.
