As a military wife I have been involved with school systems all over the United States, and in comparison, I am very impressed with Fairland West Elementary. The principal Mrs. Johnson is excellent. She loves her staff and her students. This school and it's students are involved with community outreach and the curriculum at Fairland West is also excellent. My child's teachers have been supportive, encouraging and made her experience there a wonderful building block for her future. I am so glad that when I moved here in 2007, that I became a part of the Fairland school system. The PTOs and their leaders, at all of the schools, are women who care about their schools, their students and their communities. I am always impressed with the plays and events that are part of the school experience. The teachers, principals and parents, all make sure that the students are aware of not only what they need to learn to succeed, but that we are a community and that means to be responsible citizens and to help your fellow man. Too many schools are focused just on testing, but this school makes our children intelligent, well-rounded and community minded. Thank you Mrs. Johnson and teachers!
