Elgin South has a wonderful principal and great teaching staff. They care for and about each child. It is a safe place for children to go to school and learn. They can improve and are working on improving reading programs. Programs for children who excel in some areas still need to be added.
Elgin South strives to better educate the students who are behind but does not provide much stimulation for the gifted students.
