Put-In-Bay School has changed for the better since I attended this school in the 1980's. It now follows the State of Ohio guidelines for teachers, graduation and course requirements. They have basketball, cross country, volleyball and archery for the students, pay for the travel to play against other schools in the area and overnight lodging. High school students who attend at least their last 2 years are eligible to receive one out of 14 different scholarships for high learning. Our principle and guidance counselors truly care about the students. As PTA President for the last 6 years and Treasurer/Secretary prior to this I feel the negative thing about our school is the parent involvement on a daily, weekly or monthly basis. The parents involvement with PTA meetings and functions is little to none with the exemption of the Harvest Dinner which is yearly event to benefit a scholarship.
