my child is learning very well in his class, but as far as the rest as the rest as the school goes the teachers are not bad with the kids, and they have a lot of after school activities for the kids to choose from.
I think the academic programs that Southern has in place puts the school in the right direction. The teachers and other staff seem to care for the children, thier grades and more. The music program has went downhill in the last year with the new music teacher that was hired this year, but he has resigned so hopefully it will get back to the status is has been in the past. The Arts and Athletics have always been outstanding and will continue to do so. On parent activity, if you walk into the the school you see parents every where help do anything needed. The parent program at Southen is top notch. I personally feel that Southern Local is on the verge of becoming one of the top schools in the state.
