Even though Maplewood Career Center has no sports of its own, your home school does. Going to Maplewood changed my self-esteem and changed my life. I was a shy person who didnt have many friends, but now i have more friends, I even got on the National Honor Society. When you attend this school you meet people from other cities around you, even the ones you never heard of. Parents and the community have a chance to tour the school around thanksgiving time when we have a craft show. Parents can request conferences with the teachers anytime. Your teachers and peers really get to know you threwout the year. The academic teachers try to teach you alot even in a short period of time and you can ask alot of questions without getting laughed at by your peers. You do not receive alot of homework so you'll have time to work.

Maplewood is a great school with wonderful, caring teachers. It is an extremely safe school and offers students a wide range of opportunities to explore career options and enhance their job skills. Academically, you are given many options to help you succeed. Going to Maplewood was one of the best decisions I ever made.

About these ratings

The Community Rating is the school’s average rating from its community members (e.g., parents, students, and school staff). The highest possible rating is five stars; the lowest is one star.

Oops! We currently do not have any test score information for this school. Public and charter school test scores for most states come from the state Department of Education. The most common reasons we might not have this data are either that not enough students took the test or that the school was recently opened, and its scores have not yet been reported.

What is the GreatSchools Rating?

The GreatSchools rating is a simple tool for parents to compare schools based on test scores, student academic growth, and college readiness. It compares schools across the state, where the highest rated schools in the state are designated as “Above Average” and the lowest “Below Average.” It is designed to be a starting point to help parents make baseline comparisons. We always advise parents to visit the school and consider other information on school performance and programs, as well as consider their child's and family's needs as part of the school selection process.
