I am very pleased with French Run and the kindergarten curriculum and instruction. My child is thrilled to go to school and we see his advancement manifest in many ways.
My son's teachers have been awsome with my son in learning new and exciting things. They also have been great with keeping me in the loop with his schooling. I am a single parent and most of the time I am not able to attend the school meetings so they will send me emails and phone call to let me know what I can do to help. So my hat is off to French Run keep up the good work Sincerely Nikki Smith 'Nick's Mom'
The school has made a great turn around in the last few years. The teachers and principal are working really hard to make sure all students are learning. The bullying program is helping students on the playground. I am very happy my student goes to this school.
This is my sons 4th year at french run, and i am very pleased. French run just started the watch dog program, which i think is great. i do here some complaints about the new principal(DR.Alig). Overall i am pleased.
I have two children that attend French Run. My son is in the 4th grade and my daughter is in 1st. So far I have nothing but good things to say about this school. I have been very happy with the communication and response I have received from the staff. The teachers have been very helpful and have kept communication open on a regular basis regarding both of my children. My son has had a few problems with bullies on the playground, but after an email to the teachers the guidance counsel and teachers responded promptly.
This is my fourth year as a parent of a child at French Run. My second son is attending this school. I am again disappointed in this school. We have tried open enrollment to a better elementary school in this district and were unable to move our son. This school has very poor academic programs. The teachers are numb to the bullying and overall attitude of most students at this school. I see all the other extra things that the other elementary schools offer their students and I am disappointed in the quality of programs that French Run offers. My children are stuck going to the worst elementary school in the district.
I thought this school was very useful to better my child's understanding of reading during his 1st grade experience. He learned his letters in detail through the use of balloons in the shape of people as in Hairy H and Susy S and so on and so forth.
We have two children who have experienced both principals with our last child in his fourth year. Up until last year, French Run was wonderful - we did have great parent-teacher interactions and wonderful teachers. The fourth grade classes worked very well and prepared the children for fifth grade at Hannah Ashton Middle School. I do not think my fourth grader is as prepared this year to make that transition. The teachers are good, but communication and classes have been jumbled and changed almost every report card period. I would recommend researching the schools in Reynoldsburg before settling on French Run. In my opinion, it isn't what it once was.
This is our 4th year at French Run and I think we have an excellent school. We don't have great parent participation but the teachers are good with the children and the very caring. Our new principal, Mr. Southern, has done an outstanding job of filling the shoes of our former, long-term principal, Mr. Parsons. We have a hard working PTA that could really use some new members. If you are considering which part of Reynoldsburg to move to, I would highly recommend being in the French Run area. We have a diverse group of students who are full of pride!
