If you are moving to the central Ohio area please avoid Reynoldsburg City Schools and enroll elsewhere. Both high school campuses are rife with disciplinary problems. The guidance counselor we were assigned (Ms. Gengo) left virtually every question unanswered and when I asked her why she couldn't answer questions about classes she was very flippant and seemingly uncaring in her response. It has been my experience that the staff and teachers care very little for the students they are responsible for educating. Our experience has been with the Summit Road eSTEM program.

The ratings on this website are old and absolite. I am so happy about how Reynoldsburg has cleaned up their act in the past few years. If you're reading the comments below, YES a levy was passed and YES the school is rated excellent by the state. Both things that could not have been said previously. Violence is no longer as big of a problem as it was. The high school is now broken up into interest based "academies" for a more personalized learning experience. There is a new school building so the school is no longer as crowded and thanks to the new academy system, class sizes are much smaller. I used to be affraid for my son and daughter to go to school in Reynoldsburg, but now I am proud and know my children will get the education and high school experience they deserve.

GREAT SCHOOL??? My daughter was threatened today with getting her face punched in because she took the last taco salad. What is going on when we leave our children at school and what type of kids are other parents raising that they think this is acceptable behavior. Not to mention, the teachers refuse to get involved. Uniforms...why bother. you know the old saying, you can't change a leopards spots...FYI..once a bully always a bully, uniforms do not change someones personality. Where were the adults when my child was getting threatened????

As a student here I absolutly hate it. I'm going into 10th grade and I'm trying to get my parents to enroll me somewhere else. The uniforms for one are stupid and they don't help the student behavior at all. Fights are a weekly sometimes daily accourance. It's very unorganized and does not have the typical high school feel it feels more like a prison with the uniforms and fights. I've went to school here since kindergarden and in the past 2-3 years it's gotten worse and worse. I've expierienced more violence my 9th grade year of high school than alot people experience in their whole life. If you go to school at Reynoldsburg high school, high school will definatly not be the best time of your life.

Reynoldsburg has fallen victim to urban sprawl in the last few years. My son was ecstatic that I changed jobs and relocated between his Sophomore and Junior years. While the school preached social integration, the only things that were truly integrated were my money with the subsidized lunch, clothing, and supply programs that I was funding for the 'disadvantaged'. The school had problems with security, so parents paid more guards more money to pay attention. When that didn't work they changed the dress code to students having to wear 'purple' or 'gold' t-shirts so the guards could identify who really belonged there. Guess who paid for the new attire for those who claimed they could not afford it? Subsidized programs are fine when they are monitored, but while I was paying, my neighbors were receiving because they knew someone on the 'inside'. Now levys won't pass. I can't imagine why...

My son is a freshman at the high school and we have been in the district since he was in 6th grade. I moved to Reynoldsburg to get him out of Columbus Public before he started middle school and was pleased with the school district at that time. Now after the failure of the school levy (several times) I am totally disgusted with this district. I'm on this website looking into other schools because as far as I'm concerned we can't move out of Reynoldsburg fast enough. All of the cuts that are being made are going to take away our childrens competitive edge when comes to college recruiting, and this is for everything from academics to athletics. Removing AP classes and forigen languages and having $500.00 pay to play fees ...this district is a joke!!!

It's all about kids achieving excellence and meeting their goals. The Reynoldsburg High School staff, administration, support staff, and community all work very hard together to make this happen. We pride ourselves on excellence. I believe these kids have done a great job accepting the changes and cuts made as a result of this economic depression. They stand tall and proud.

This school has a dress code for no reason, no choices or options in education or appearance. But, they have great teachers and staff

I believe that RHS is a good school. And I believe that the Trailblazers program is a good program and the last help for students. However, thier administration is something to be desired. I have heard complaints that thier administration and know for myself are just a buch of 'speakers'. They do not and I say do not follow through on what they promised to the parent or the students!
