Outstanding school with excellent and dedicated teachers, principals and supportive staff. My kids love their school and their teachers. My boys are very different and their learning styles are dfferent as well. All of the teachers we worked with are professional, knowledgable, experienced, creative, flexible, approachable, caring, loving and willing to go an extra miles for their students. Each student is challenged, supported and encouraged to do their best. There is a strong emphasis not only on high academic standards, but also on good character, kindness, caring and community involvement. Parents are very involved as well. Hillcrest staff creates a very pleasant, home-like environment for the students and parents-volunteers. My boys wake up every morning loooking forward to going to school.
teachers are great...lunch staff needs to be replaced.they don't know how to deal with children and are extremely rude.
My children went to Hillcrest and received a great education and now my Grandchildren are going there too.
We recently moved from the Akron School District to the Revere School District. In Akron my kids went to a private (parish) elementary school. I had always thought that private schools were significantly better than public schools (I attended a private, all-boys school) This is what almost everybody says, right? But, I decided to give the Revere School District a shot. I had nothing to lose since I could always register my kids back in a private school if I felt like I had to do it. But, Revere proved me wrong. The academic level of this public school is so unbelievable high compared to the previous private school that my boys look like Einstein when compared to their friends from the previous school. I mean, I cannot emphasize enough how much higher the academic level is. I am really happy with Revere.
Not only did my parents go to this school, but I went and now my daughter does. This is an excellent school. Small classes make for more one on one learning and all the teachers are highly qualified. They have many school activities to keep the kids active and involved. This is one of the best schools to send your child next to a private school.
