This district has gone down hill dramatically in the past few years. Teacher strike. Declining test scores. Out of touch administration, board of education, and poor communication. If you can live elsewhere, do it. This is a school district on its way down.

Perkins High school is a great place to send your children for a wonderful education. I am a graduate of this fine school and can say first hand i am well ahead of the pack of high school graduates in the year 2006. Perkins helped me get ready for college and the challeneges ahead.

College-level academics at all levels (in Honors classes, up to par with or better than private schools. Very personal education. Best music dept. in all Ohio, w/out doubt. Sports do very well, but was just made pay-to-play for several programs. Community of rapid growth for past 50 years, still room for much more.

I am a former student of Perkins High and I have to say that of all the schools that I have attended (I've attend 3 different high schools due to moving) Perkins High is by far the best. The teachers genuinely care about the welfare of their students. I have very fond memories of grade school due to the caring staff. I felt very well prepare for college life after graduation from a completely different school do alot to the preparation at Perkins.

Perkins High School has scored perfectly on the Ohio school academic report card since 1998. However, the recent financial challenges must be corrected for the school system to continue it's degree of excellence. The Perkins extracurricular programs are also suberb; instrumental music and sports programs provide many positive opportunities for the students.
