The quality of Academics was held to a high standard. If you had grades that droped below a D, you couldn't participate in sports. Fairview holds and academic awards cerimaony that lasts half the day and awards trophies to the top student in each class. I remember getting an award in Math and reading. I was made to feel as proud of those awards as i did for any of my sports letters or awards. Fairview had a large sports and band following too. The parents were very involved in the extracurricular activities after school.
