My son is a 4th grader at Dennis West and we've been at the school since it opened in 2006. I can't say enough wonderful things about the principal, Mrs. Wray! It is so obvious how much she cares for the students, faculty, staff and families of Dennis West! The teachers are also very caring and the instruction is rigorous and challenging (without being overwhelming)! Class instruction is fun and my son can't wait to get up and go to school each day! We've never had a teacher we didn't love! It's truly a special school in a great community!
My 9 year old daughter loves this school. She had a fantastic teacher last year in gr. 3 (Mrs. Rabe) so far she is really enjoying her 4th grade teacher too. The school is very clean, has a lot of evident school spirit. Sometimes the homework load can get a little much but overall a great school.
I have two children at Dennis West, and have been very pleased. The communication between teachers and parents is great. Students keep a calendar book with assignments that have to be checked daily. As a parent, I feel very informed of my childrens' progress. They challenge my children and individualize instruction. This is an excellent system!!!
This school has a fabulous staff who are able to reach children at many different levels.
