Highland is an awesome school. When my daughter entered the fourth grade from McGregor she could not read. The teachers at Highland actually listened to my concerns and we formed a plan to help her. She is now an a student and has the self confidence she lacked from the years she spent wasting away in Washington Local.

We have been very happy with the quality of teachers at Highland. Sylvania schools has a great program to help children with speech difficulties; we had to use it and have been thrilled with the results! We are very pleased with the extracurricula activities and believe that the school is safe. One thing I do not like is when the teachers do not allow my son to play outside during recess becuase they disapprove of my choise of clothing for that day. If we send him to school in shorts because we feel that it is warm enough then who are they to second guess us? Probably school policy and if that's the worst i can find about the school then they must be doing pretty good.

Highland is one of the best schools in the area. The teachers are very qualified and the PTA is one of the best. The principal is very friendly and extremely creative. The Kids are smart, happy and extremely safe. Extra-curricular activities are great and kids love the school atmosphere. Highland is situated in beautiful Sylvania with well cared for homes and gardens and generally reflects on the kids going there. Everyone is accepted, feel secure, and cared for. We as parents of a 10 year old and 7 year old are very appreciative of this great school and the wonderful teaching they have received. The test scores in this school are excellent and anyone considering Highland are giving their children the best start to their young lives.
