My grandson has special needs and when entering the school from preschool we were told he had severe learning problems. Guess what he reads and is learning. He is in K-1. We are so pleased with the staff and the principals who are so active in our child's development for a good future. thank you

As a sister of a Thornville student, and having going there myself, I know that this school is full of dedicated educators who help and influence their students daily. I always payed attention to what they had to say. The acedemics there have always been high. They have high expectations which are always met. In most classes there is art at least once a week. The things they do help the creative process, from the music classes that each grade attends at least twice a week, their gym at least twice a week, and their library at least twice a week, to having many educational and fun assemblies. I always remember the magic shows by our principal's son. There was an author, also, that I can recall. There are so many things parents can be involved in. From just volinteering time to help children read, to helping with parties in classes.

My grandchildren who were in Kindergarten and secong grade at Thornville recently move to another school district and were way ahead of the students in that school. This is a tribute to the hard working and caring theachers at Thornville Elementary.
