Deveaux Middle School

i hate that school is it awful there you have to wear uniform there you can express yourselves there i went there for 6th grade and now i`m begging my mom to leave there there were fights everyday there was a chair throwing in lunch and a girl throw a chair at me because i ask her to stop playing with her watch and my teacher just yell at me i didn't do thing wrong

well, first off to all the people that say deveaux is a bad school. - it is very good. and well educated. -only the students that so chose to make bad desicions do, - dont blame the teachers for the students mistakes. - if you havent been to deveaux dont claim it as bad or tell other people about it. DEVEAUX IS THE MOST FUNNEST SCHOOL AND WELL EDUCATED SCHOOL I HAVE EVER WENT TO IN MY ENTIRE LIFE. I WOULDNT TRADE IT WITH ANOTHER SCHOOL FOR ANYTHING. there are not alot of fights there. but there still are fights. they usally only last about a minute or so. dont comment this and say bad things about deveaux because it isnt a bad school. it is wayyyyyyyyyyyy more organized than any other school. tell me what other school has clusters that divides up the school neitherr. signed- tanasia ( a student

I went to deveaux both my 7th and 8th grade year it was a great experience all the teachers really prepared you for your high shool years and half the stuff i learned then is coming back now i now go to springfield high im a sophmore it really great here but shout out to mr. beals my history teacher and mr. deangelo my home room teacher and all the students their now enjoy it now its very sad when u leave bye. I am not that impressed with this school. There are teachers there that care but there are some that let you know they just want a paycheck, I f teachers are teching and do not care they should chnged jobs. They forget they are shaping the futures of our children. When you go to Deanor Principal you feel like there are too many kids to care about yours. That feeling isn't a good one. Every child should be just as important then the next.

If you have a child with special needs this is not the school for you. Toledo public scools are not very accomodating when it comes to following IEP's and 504's.

This is a wonderful school. All students are divided into different clusters,randomly. (glass apple,starburst,infnity,esprit de corpes,elite 7,and spectrum. The teachers are all very experienced, and many have more than 10 years as an educator. I am in the 7th grade at deveaux and i am almost finishing up my first year here. There are many extra curricular activities and clubs, such as drama, leadership, spirt club, youth to youth which keeps kids drug free, student body government, national junior honors society, and possibly more. There are also many sports to most kids liking such as, track & field, cross country, softball, football, volleyball, basketball, etc. Our school counselors also are here to help kids out when they need somebody the most. The violence rate has decreased over these past couple years and now it is the best middle school in the district. Hope you choose DeVeaux for your future viking!

I think this school was awesome. I went here for my 7th grade year and frist qaurter of my 8th grade year. I met awesome kids there. I now go to Clay High School and Deveaux really helped me prepare.

I personally love DeVeaux. Yeah, there are alot of fights sometimes. But the Principal and Staff know how to deal with it. All of my teachers are amazing at helping me understand things, and I'm doing really good here.

DeVeaux is a nice school. It is the best junior high in Toledo Public. There are great opportunities for the students. Unfortunately, a few of the teachers concentrate more on other things than teaching. Also, the other students sometimes tease kids about their race, religion, or academic standings. I know this personally. Overall, DeVeaux is a good school, but if you are skeptical, pick a private school over this one!
