I am a very, very active parent in the school. My daughter, who is in the third grade , gets very inspired by having me around and feeling that I care enough to be there for her. There is soooo much that this school offers through the extra activities sponsored by our Parent Club. These kids gain sooo much knowledge and experience thorugh doing hands on stuff. I encourage parents to be more involved with the school and join in and mostof all, have fun with other parents!!! Besides wonderful test scores, there is also a reason why we are rated an excellent school district!! Get involoved and stay involoved with your kids and know what they are doing!!!! It benefits both you and your kids!!!

My daughter is in the 3rd grade and loves shoreland. She has had great teachers and they all work really hard with the kids. I would't change anything about the school.Keep up the good work!

Three years ago my son went to a different school and was almost failing. Now that my son is on the Honor Roll @ Shoreland. Because they had said to me, that he may have A.D.H.D. Now he loves school. They work with the kids one on one. Have alot of activities in and out of school to do. Yes more parents can get involved but understand that both parents need to work now a days. The kids love that they don't have to wear uniforms like other schools. They reward the kids for doing a good job. The teachers are great and all the kids love the principle. Especially when he play's with them @ recess time.

The school is very involved in how children are taught. I think they have a wonderful mind running the art dept and it shows when you walk down the halls. This year so far they have had two trips to the zoo, one to COSI, and others. Overall I have been very pleased with this school and would recommend it.

My child has attended Shoreland since Kindergarten and is presently in Grade 5. Overall I have a favorable impression of the school. I am satisfied with the curriculum and the extra curricular activities the school has offered. I have been very active in the Parent Club organization and impressed with the many varied ways this parent group supports the students and faculty. However, I am very disappointed in the low number of active parents. The same 10-20 people seem to be involved in everything. I wonder where all the rest of the parents are and why they have not chosen to support their school.

Safe school but curriculum has a lot to be desired. They're teaching the kids in 3rd grade the foundations of algebra without them even knowing how to add and subtract without using a calculator and they have even begun to teach them multiplication and division.
