As a Blessed Sacrament Parishoner, I see the good works the children of the school participate in through the caring guidance of their teachers and administrators! This school reaches out to our community and helps to fill the needs of those less fortunate. I would definitely recommend this school if you want to build your child's character and have them taught to become respectful Christian adults!

This school is incredible. Dedicated teachers, dedicated principal - overall loving environment. The Blessed Sacrament school community has great parents, raising great kids. I can't imagine my child going anywhere else- he is surrounded by positive influences. Keep up the great job Fr Donnelly, Ms. Strbik and all you wonderful teachers!

I found the atmosphere at this school to be quite toxic. The principal is all but qualified but does not have qualities necessary to be a school administrator-let alone at a Catholic school. There are some terrific teachers, but the enviroment they work in is hostile.

Wonderful academics, excellent Advanced Math and Language classes, can't say enough about the teachers, principal, and staff who love the children so dearly. Great school, great location, new Middle School Building is awesome!

It's heartening to see the students learning solid values, thriving in an atmosphere of loving trust, and respecting everyone with whom they come in contact! It's affirming to see an administration and faculty and staff so dedicated to the spiritual and intellectual well-being and growth of the students here!

Blessed Sacrament is a fabulously diverse school. It allows my sons to learn about their faith as well as general academics. It allows my son to attend and be an inspiration to others. You see my son was born with only one leg and one arm. The school has done everything possible to allow him to be a normal kid. Blessed Sacrament has a principal and teachers that care about our kids completely. They encourage them to care about others, through a stewards of the month program, which this month is collecting blankets and warm clothes for the homeless. BSS encourages our kids to be good citizens and has a close relationship with the neighborhood association.

Much has changed for the better at BSS over the past year. Father Donnelly has provided outstanding leadership and is focused on increasing enrollment. The new principal, Mrs. White, has been a great addition. She has brought energy, passion and discipline and is committed to restoring the schools tradition of excellence. Student safety has been improved dramatically with the installation of a security system on the doors. Construction of the new school building begins in March. Extracurricular activities have grown with the addition of a chess club and a dance team. The only real knock on the entire program is the fact that it is getting more and more difficult to get some additional parents involved. It seems the same parents end up giving hundreds of hours a year while most offer only what is minimally required. Overall, this is a very good school looking to the future and getting better.

I am a very involved parent at Blessed Sacrament. I am very disappointed that the programs offered (reading specialist and advanced math) are being eliminated. The class size has also gone up to up to 35 students per classroom. I am seriously considering a different school because of the continued cut backs and lack of high school prep. My kids have always participated in sports, which is a great program, but their education is more important. We have a new priest and the principal is leaving (good) so who knows what will happen. My children get almost all a's but I don't think they are being challenged enough.

About these ratings

The Community Rating is the school’s average rating from its community members (e.g., parents, students, and school staff). The highest possible rating is five stars; the lowest is one star.

We currently do not have any test score information for this school. Unlike public schools, private schools are not always required to report data about their schools or not required to take the same tests as public schools. Many private schools take different standardized tests; however, that information is often made available only to families of enrolled students. We strive to acquire additional private school data whenever available.
