The community at MV is phenomenal. As a High School student, I feel that teachers respect me and they are there to help me succeed. We all have great relationships with the teachers, because classes are full of discussion, debate (quite often), and application of basic skills and knowledge from across the curriculum. What we learn in our history classes are directly applicable in our English classes and vice versa. The small student body makes it possible for one student to be involved in an astonishing array of activities. MV students are not one dimensional, nor do they fit into any stereotypical mold. The captain of the soccer team also plays on the chess team, Muslim girls wearing hijabs cheer for basketball, and basketball players play for the string ensemble. It's a small, close knit community. If you don't mind being able to recognize every face in the hallway and all of your teachers knowing your name then you should defiantly consider it.

As a high school student at Maumee Valley, I find the academics and teaching to be superior to any other private school I have visited, including those around Toledo and in other states. Students are required to work very, very hard but it is the best college preparatory experience a student will get. Maumee Valley graduates report from establishments such as Harvard and Wellesley that high school was harder than college because they have been so well prepared. One of the drawbacks, however, is that the math teaching is abysmal in the middle school and lower school. If you plan to send your child to Maumee Valley for elementary or middle school, a credible math tutor is almost a necessity, as your child is learning THE MOST IMPORTANT basic principles during those formative years in math.

Superior academics, a diverse student body, a beautiful campus, and staff and faculty members who are truly dedicated make Maumee Valley Country Day School a wonderful place. I am so grateful that my children were given the opportunity to attend MVCDS. The generosity of donors made possible the scholarships and financial aid that allowed us to send our children to Maumee Valley Country Day School.

I am a fourth generation graduate from Maumee Valley and my children are fifth generation graduates and current students. Maumee Valley gives young people a true chance to be who they are and to strive to be whatever they can dream of!

MVCDS is a wonderful school that provides education for students from age 3 all the way through the 12th grade, and all on one campus. An excellent education that far exceeds expectations and educational requirements. My daughter has attended the school since she was three and it has been a terrific experience.

This school is the best in the state. The curriculum is exceptional and the community is my family. I've been to public and charter before I came here, and there's no contest.
