Have you hear of trickle down economics'? Same principle here. Administration cares only of assuring they get their tuition and caring not for the students. Be careful what you believe when touring and deciding to attend or not.
There is a strong bullying culture here. Integrity, respect, and especially compassion are not existent here. You would think as a Christian school there would be no lack of moral character. However, between favoritism and the ability of the students to embody "preachers kids" or the unique ability to be mean, nasty, and cruel while on the other half of their face smile and tell you that god loves you, there is no compassion, respect, and as for integrity- does students that can do that sound like they have integrity?
Teachers- there are a few good ones, a great one or two, but none receive the support or respect from the administration. With, in my opinion, the lack of support and the bullying nature of the principal and is many ways the superintendent, the culture here will not change and will not allow the teachers that are good to remain as such for long. Mediocre and poor teachers (as this is a small private school we have more than our share) do not have the support and get worse. They certainly do not get better.
As for homework, the teachers believe that their homework is the only thing in our (students) lives that is important. We get pressure to be in sports, be good at sports, and still complete hours worth of homework. Yet if you are from a Christian background you would still have family and church responsibilities. If you truly value time with your family or youth group this is not the school for you.
Contrary to previous review there is no anti-bullying policy. What they have is a link that they do not use and the students who need it do not know about. The bullying is extreme and intense to put it lightly. Students have been forced to leave the school due to the bullying. Being a Christian School parents put their children in this school and let their guard down as it is claimed to be a "Christian" school. However, the bullying and verbal torture of some of the kids is just not fully expressible here. The teachers and administration not only turn a blind eye but intensify the torment by focusing on uniform compliance and if these same kids that are being bullied and harassed are wearing the right color socks. They seem oblivious to the uniform compliance of the bullies as the same kids do not adhere to the regulations day after day.
