My child only attended MHPFA for one year. The 2nd grade. I had to everything in my power not to pull her from that school in the middle of the year. I think that was the worst mistake I have ever made. I feel that my child missed a whole school year of learning. the only thing that she learned from that school in my opinion was how to count in a foreign language from her Ti Quan Do class, if you ask her she does even know what language it was. I understand that school may stand for fitness, but my god the children need an education as well. From my experince the teacher was teaching a grade level behind, and my child was ready to be taught a grade ahead. All I want to say is dont get excited about the extra curricular and forget about the education.
MHPFA Is an excellent charter school. The teachers and staff are wonderful. My kids are learning more than they did in a traditional public school. I love the uniform policy. My kids love the P.E. Classes, and they love learning Ti Quan Do. MHPFA works hard to teach the children everything they need to have a bright future. I highly recommend this school, and all the PFA schools.
