I also have a teenager who has struggled a lot through Jr. High. She is now a freshman and doing a little better, however, I give credit to Troy Christian for how they have handled my "average" child. The teachers and principal have taken a firm, but loving approach to her misguided attitudes and actions. One teacher in particular has been an amazing counselor to her, while also communicating with us as parents. I can't imagine how we would have handled this age without the support of a school that understands what we are trying to do as parents in our home. TC truly has "come along side" us as parents. We LOVE it here and will be forever grateful for how this school has helped us through the difficult teenage years. I am looking forward to the next few years at Troy Christian. The teachers and staff here are committed to helping our daughter mature with an uderstanding of who she is. They have many ways in which they help students graduate with goals for their life, life skills and a heart for service. Can't say enough good things about this school and how they have helped us!!!

I have a teenage daughter who attended Troy Christian from k-7th. I would like to first say that she learned a lot of good values and morals during this time that she will take with her always, and for that I am thankful. This school is great if your child fits the mold of a perfect, hardly ever makes a peep, straight A student- which is about 2% of the child population. On the other hand- if you have a child who is fun, outgoing, maybe a little wild at times and struggles a little in some subjects (your average kid)- then please DO NOT send them to Troy Christian. They will not get the help they need. Some of the teachers here are in dire need of retiring because they are burned out and lack the patience. They do not slow down at all to help kids that are having a hard time grasping concepts. Your normal fun-loving kid who hates math will be left behind. Teachers here also have a serious problem with over-stepping boundaries. They like to lecture kids about their diet, what movies they watch, what they post on facebook, etc. In my opinion, these are areas that should only involve a parent's discretion. Also I don't think teachers should request kids at all on facebook.

Our family couldn t be happier with our educational experiences at Troy Christian. I am former student with 2 children at TCS. They have an excellent academic program with a variety of enrichment opportunities (both during and after school) for students. The teachers and administration are the best. They genuinely care about your child, not just academically, but spiritually and as an individual. The character development program encourages their strengths and helps them work on weaknesses. God is woven throughout the curriculum, not just segmented to Bible class. They also care about their parents. Parents are encouraged to be involved at school and are invited to Parent Connection Nights where guest speakers are brought in to talk on many different parenting topics. They also try to offer options to parents like all-day or half-day Kindergarten and after school childcare. We are so glad to be a part of the TCS family!

All three of our children received an excellent Christian education at Troy Christian School. The administration, teachers, and staff exhibit and embrace the vision and mission of TCS daily. They love Jesus and they love our children.

Our son and daughter started attending TCS in preschool and are now in junior and senior high. Our intentions were to find a safe early learning environment for our children and then to move them to a school where they would be academically challenged. To our surprise, our children were blessed with a nurturing Christian environment that also provided them with the tools to succeed academically. The teachers and administrators work together to give their best in helping parents to develop our children into confident, well educated leaders, grounded in their Christian values. Through extra-curricular activities and mission opportunities, TCS students develop their character in real life situations. Character qualities are not only talked about in this school, but are turned into actions by the students and staff. It is more than a school to our family; Troy Christian Schools is an extension of our home.

Troy Christian has a great administration and staff, competitive curriculum and a high statndard of expectation for teachers and students. I am very impressed with the amount of extracurricular activities available. They offer a wide variety of sports for students as well as band, choir and art. Many private schools are unable to offer so many opportunities.
