My daughter is just finishing 6th grade and I am so impressed with what a great young lady she has become...I give the school and the teachers credit for helping come along side my husband and I to instill character. My son is in fourth grand and I have been so pleased with the extra-curricular activites that have challenged him in math and science. He's won awards in LEGO Robotics and Invention Convention. The teachers are amazing! I know my kids will do well in High School because they already have great study habits and lots of good, Godly self-confidence! Can't say enough great about TCS. We are sooooo blessed to have TCS in our area

THe ranking is for the administration of TCHS; not the teaching staff. I've had kids graduate from the high school and it's getting worse each year. Admin doesn't show much concern for the individual kid who 'colors outside the lines...' Wants to be sure they 'look good' to the community w/o knowing what really goes on behind closed doors. Glad we're done with Troy Christian. Our family won't be looking back, that's for sure. You'd be better off putting your kids in a good public high school and playing an active role in their education.

We had two sons who attended TCS. I was very pleased with the elementary staff. However, the high school staff and experience was a completely different situation. Both of my sons came away from TCS with feelings of duplicity in living the Christian life. They experienced many situations were the administration assigned different consequences to students depending on who they were not the behaviors. This was very troubling to myself as a parent of middle income. The administration would manipulate students, even lying to the student, to get them to tatle on their friends. It was a horrible experience and one that my children still have difficulty with. I would strongly suggest parents thinking about their child's personality prior to sending them to TCS for Junior/Senior high school. If your child does not think for themselves, question rules, or have a personality they will be fine.

We started at PreK with TCS and love it. Until High School that is. The HS administration let us down in a big way. They're lack of personal experience with kids this age doesn't allow them to help kids grow into responsible adults. They'd rather expel kids than help them grow. Most of my son's classmates have moved to other schools as a result of the issues. We would have loved to stay with TCS _IF_ it had the quality of the elementary school.

Our son and daughter started attending TCS in preschool and are now in junior and senior high. Our intentions were to find a safe early learning environment for our children and then to move them to a school where they would be academically challenged. To our surprise, our children were blessed with a nurturing Christian environment that also provided them with the tools to succeed academically. The teachers and administrators work together to give their best in helping parents to develop our children into confident, well educated leaders, grounded in their Christian values. Through extra-curricular activities and mission opportunities, TCS students develop their character in real life situations. Character qualities are not only talked about in this school, but are turned into actions by the students and staff. It is more than a school to our family; Troy Christian Schools is an extension of our home.

We have had four boys come through the Troy Christian school system over the last 15 years. We have been very pleased with the academic programs they were exposed to as well as extracurricular opportunities. Our athletic program and drama programs are excellent and have alot of excitement with each. Parental involvement at Troy Christian is a huge part of knitting our families and students together.

I have had four children go through Troy Christian Schools. I beleive it was one of my wife's and my best decisions regarding our childrens' education. The staff is wholly devoted to students and families. The support is great! They offer a variety of extracurricular activities with excellent facilites. TCS is interested in helping students develop into the person God created them to be, understanding that each student is uniquely created. While the school holds high standards, they approach discipline on an individual bases. I encourage you to visit TCS if you are looking for excellence in education for your children.

I know I'm not a parent, but I was a student at Troy Christian High School, and I absolutely loved my time at TCS. The teachers and curriculum were outstanding and I was well prepared for college. Not only did I receive a great education, but I also received it in a Christian atmosphere where I was encouraged and challenged to grow spiritually. Troy Christian really strives to offer their students all that they can from on-campus PSEO with a Christian university to sports, chapels, and leadership opportunities. Thanks to Troy Christian, I am know pursuing my degree in education.

My child had attended TC High School for 3 1/2 years. If your child is in need of any IEP (in service plan) a private school does not have to accommodate their needs. Parents and students are require to sign a letter that states if your child gets into any kind of trouble outside the school, parents are to notify the school, so the school can discipline your child. Please pray before selecting this school. Our family has been very disappointed in Troy Christian High school.

Academics are very good however there is no tolerance for diversity. The administration has a narrow view of who is acceptable, and are less interested in helping kids become responsible adults than they are in following strict rules. The High School fails to meet it's own published mission statement. In this regards it is much different than the elementary school, which is wonderful.
