Urbana Junior High School

this school is fun!!!:)) if you are going to change schools you should come to urbana junior high

Urbana is an Okay school. Many student do not try because they feel that their education is not Important to them. But those of the student s that do try, succeed. All of the Children are given The right Learning tools to succeed, and They Enforce the "Studen Athlete" policy that they have. Meaning that Student have to be passing 75% of their classes, and have at least a 2.0 GPA. If they do not, they are either kicked off of the team, or are forced to have a tutor. A lot of the students do barely pass by, because we do focus a lot on Athletics Here at Urbana. But, Coaches, and Teachers do notify the student, or their parent when there is a problem with grades. It's True, we are not the best school. But that DOES NOT mean that we are the worst. We are a middle class society, and Try our hardest to make everyone feel welcome. If you are new, or moving to Urbana any time soon, Please, consider attending Urbana City schools.

I would rate this school as fair.It is most deffintaly NOT the best school ever, but it is not the worst school ever.They have good teachers that connect good with the students, okay test scores and a good principle(mrs.mays).They do have strict rules, but the staff at the school feels that the rules are fair...kids would argue!Allthough the schools are not brand new, like several other schools in Ohio, the Junior High is still a pretty well put together schooling system.

The quality of programs seems to vary so much from teacher to teacher, class to class. I sent my child to UJH as a 7th grader but next year he will be open-enrolled at WLS a much higher achieving school Low level of parnet concern expect in the area of sports??? Many parents in the district do not know what is going on, nor do they care. numerous levies for new buildings have failed, we have failed our children
