My child is a fourth grader at Van Buren Elementary School. The learning environment could not be better. The school has created a unique surrounding with a Midieval theme througout the building. There is, however, a lack of intensity within the academic programs of the school. Since 2001, the school has achieved an 'excellent' rating two times on the state report card. The school has fallen back to an 'effective' rating for the last two years.
