We just moaved here in Feb.07 so needless two say it was a little hard on our whole family. But everyone a Bazetta made us feel so welcome. I did not feel like an outsider. All the teachers were eager to meet us and get Dakota started right away. It was the BEST move we ever made.

I think the staff at this school is very caring. The education is great. The parents are very involved in the school activites. I am very pleased with this school and plain to have all three of my children get the school education at lakeview local schools. Bazzetta is a very caring school. My daughter and I love it.

We have stayed here this long (7 years) so that we could send our kids to Lakeview schools. My oldest just finished kindergarten, and I must say I'm not as impressed with it as I'd been built up to be. My son's teacher wasn't even aware that he could read, and he was able to do it since the beginning of the year.

Reading the letters above, it sounds to me like the school is excellant. The teachers sound like they really care. And the marks are good. Extra cirrucular that is offered at the elementary range are youth baseball, basketball, football and cheerleading. They are not school related but are avalible in the community. The PTO is always looking for more mother involvement. Overall the school is great for the kids, some things might not meet everyones standards but that happens no matter where you go.

After reading the other comments, I agree whole heartedly! We also moved to this community based solely on the reputation of the school. There are many EXCELLENT teachers, and a few who should have retired long ago. But the school board's policy/ decision making does not seem to care about the community or even research what is best for the children. The bottom line seems to be money. This community is full of wonderful parents and teachers who want to be involved with the school and the raising of competent, well educated children. But everywhere they turn they are met with obstacles and negativity. I don't know the solution, but hopefully the parents and teachers who care so much will step up and join together to bring this school up to date and our children growing strong! - Let's work to update things instead of complain about what's wrong!

Been here 2+ years, moved here expressly because of the excellence of the district. Deeply disappointed with the administration but very happy with the teachers. Administrators are arbitrary, do not follow their own published procedures, and appear to have little regard for parents and the community at large. It is no surprise that they have lost the support of their community. They have earned that posisiton. I have nothing but respect for every teacher that my children have come into contact with, though. They are committed, and do the very best with what they have. And what they have is inept leadership. All in all, I am very sorry to have chosen the Lakeview school district.

After moving to this school district (which was my alma mater) from a more urban school system that had less money and resources, I feel like I've stepped back 20 years. This district is against parent involvement/participation and is famous for keeping the community in the dark unless it concerns money. The parents and community are not welcome to discuss or help make decisions about how their school system is being run or where their tax dollars are being spent. We are told after the fact when changes have been made. If you are looking to move into this district, do not be swayed by the 'impressive' proficiency test scores. It takes whole lot more to make a great school than test scores! We are so disappointed that we didn't research our options a little better.
