I have my two kids in here. This school has the best science labs (college level quality) of all christian schools in the area. They do a good job on science, biology, etc. They take music seriously, maybe a bit too seriously and singin dauther does not feel free to sign they way she likes. Sports (basketball, etc.) and cheerleading is A LOT of fun for the kids and family. Kids seem happy and parents too. The principal and staff are too uptight and scared of the principal. That makes them pay attention to details but sometimes too much! They are VERY busy but will still take time to address any of your concerns. Sometime they pay too much concern to petty details like chain neckace, pants color shades, shoes designs, etc. The teachers are tough and homework is hard but kids learn a lot, not for the faint of heart. They are always thinking on activities to keep kids entertain but I can tell no too much thought on how one activity affects others, example, basketball game after chappel (kids will be in the wrong uniform).

I am a former student of Northside. I attended the school for many years. This school is not for everyone. You must agree with Calvary Bible Church's definitions of what they believe the Bible calls wordly behavior. I would encourage anyone who is contemplating enrolling their child in this school to visit Calvary Bible Church and carefully learn what they believe and decide for your self if this type of Christianity is for you and your family. If you do agree with those views then the school would work well for you and your child. If you do not agree with this church s beliefs, and I mean ALL of their beliefs this would not be the place for your family.

Northside is an awesome Christian school with caring teachers & staff! It is a school that has sound academics, quite a few extra activities (considering it s size!) and teachers that love the Lord! I have three students in the school and consider myself a conservative Christian. Northside is just right for us!

I am a former student of NCS. NCS is great academically, but there are no choices other than singing. It majors on the minors. As a person has already said it finds Contemporary Christian music wrong, but yet many of its teachers gossip. The school judges the students instead of looking at themselves. This school is very hypocritical. I will not send my children to this school. There are plenty of other Christian Schools around Columbus to chose from.

Northside Christian School is an excellent school for the Christian family. It is what we wanted for our daughter, both academically and spiritually. Children are taught respect and godly discipline. The world would have been a better place if all school would be like NCS. Our daughter is reading by herself in 1st grade, which public school can do that? A extra curricular activities would be great, other than that, NCS is awesome for our family.

Good academics at Elemtary level, good arts. Sports disappointing for female students. Few extracurricular activities. Parent involvement from select at founding church - but not really from others. Legalistic environment - kids can't talk about movies, music, or other 'worldy' things. For background on church that controls school see the constitution at Calvary http://www.cbcohio.org/CBC_Constitution.pdf - see especially section 9 on seperation. Thier view of 'worldy' includes contemporary christian music, kids movies, etc. The Ohio Bible Fellowship of which they are a members has resolutions saying Rick Warren's Purpose Driven Life is a 'worldy' book, and no good Christian belongs in a movie theatre (OBF October 2004 (or 2003?) resolution). For obvious reasons we removed our child from this school as so have many friends. It is good academically, but the legalistic viewpoint is one we did not want our family influenced by any longer.

Northside Christian is an excellent Christian school. NCS has outstanding academics. My son has attended Pre-K through 4th grade at the school and we are very happy.
