Great school if your child is doing well but forget it if you need extra help with a slower learner. Seems that your child needs to be designated with an individual instruction plan or something called a 504; these may be the only options to prevent him/her from getting steamrolled by their inflexible curriculum. Haphazard books and continuity to subjects - lots of poorly copied handouts for homework that have nothing to fall back on. Good music program though and safe environment.
WOW! You don't need to say much else. Parkside is definitely a jump up from elementary school, but a perfect bridge before Middle School. Parkside helps keep students on track both academically & socially during those awkward pre-teen years. I have had two children attend Parkside and have been involved with the PTA. The quality of educational instruction is excellent! And the lessons on charater building & sense of community are outstanding. There are many opportunities to be involve in the music programs, and even ski club! More than enough to give my children a well rounded educational experience!
