I am happy to send my children to St. Bernadette. A Spanish specific class is offered in upper grades and incorporated into classroom teaching in lower grades. Personally, I would rather enjoy the small class sizes that we have than pay for staffing so my kids can go to gym and art several times a week. Look for a preschool to be coming soon.
The Enrichment program (gifted) and Language program (Spanish) are no longer offered to my children. Art, Computer, and Physical Education class sessions are less frequent this year. There is no preschool program. Big disappointment!
Such a nice school. Good education and sports activities. It makes me sad when I hear people repeat rumors that aren't even true.
My 3 children attend St. Bernadette's and are getting the best education around. We truly have awesome parents, students and staff!!! PLEASE stop the listening to negative rumors. Rumors are rumors!!!! Come and take a look for yourself and be amazed at how well behaved, curtious, well educated our students are at the end of 8th grade. Take at a look at our test scores. Not too mention 90% of our students who enter high school are in honor classes. We truly are the best kept secret in Westlake. Come meet our new awesome pastor this Decemeber!
After 8 years of experience with St. Bernadette's, I can honestly say that your experience will be what you make of it. We have had an awesome experience at this school and parish! Would highly recommend to anyone considering - come visit and see for yourself.
We presently have three children at Saint Bernadette. Each one has enjoyed a nurturing and academically challenging experience. My husband and I are both lawyers and expect the best from a school. We have not been disappointed. The teacher/pupil ratio cannot be beat. We have especially enjoyed the other families we have come to know who are down-to-earth, caring and commited to the school community.
I have two children attending Saint Bernadette. I wouldn't want them anywhere else. My 9th grader was completely prepared for high school due to his experience at Saint Bernadette. The teachers and administrators work harder and are more dedicated than any other school I have experienced. The time and effort put into this school is unlike any other. The principal puts her heart and soul into making Saint Bernadette excel in every aspect. I feel very fortunate to have my children here, and anyone who has seen the kind of students that come from Saint Bernadette knows there is no other place like it.
Our experience at St. Bernadette was an unacceptable, unprofessional, and disappointing one. I would not recommend this school when there are other options in the area. This school does not go the extra mile and that is what we as parents are paying for. This is what my child deserved.
Lack of communication , quick to judge , the list goes on . I am pulling my daughter out and sending her the St. Raphael's in Bay Village. St. Bernadette would rather nit pick than 'teach' Good Riddins!
St. Bernadette is a fabulous school! The teachers and staff go the extra mile to make sure it is an outstanding learning environment for our children as well as incorporate the Catholic values that are so important to us. The Iowa Basic scores continue to reflect the excellent education practices going on here. St. Bernadette is truly our 2nd family!
